Dr Lisa Fodero

Lisa founded HealthConsult with Joe Scuteri in March 2006. Lisa has extensive experience in program and policy design and review, evaluation and program development, assessment of clinical interventions and in designing and managing large national costing, benchmarking and funding design projects.

As a hands-on leader, Lisa brings her extensive expertise to guide HealthConsult's largest national projects. Her ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder environments and deliver successful outcomes in multi-million dollar programs sets her apart. Lisa's adaptive approach ensures that each project, regardless of scale, delivers practical and implementable recommendations that drive meaningful change in the aged care and healthcare systems across Australia.

How she got here

  • Led the review of the BreastScreen Australia Program, focusing on quality and safety, for the Department of Health and Aged Care
  • Led the evaluation of the Improving Food in Aged Care through Education and Training Program for the Maggie Beer Foundation
  • Led the review of paediatric liver transplantation services, paediatric lung and heart-lung transplantation services, and pancreas and islet cell transplantation services funded under the Nationally Funded Centres Program for the NSW Ministry of Health
  • Led the evaluation of the McGrath Foundation Breast Cancer Nurse Initiative and service model critique for the McGrath Foundation
  • Led the design and implementation of Residents' Experience Survey and Expansion Trials for the Department of Health and Aged Care
  • Led the evaluation of the TrialHub Pilot Program for Alfred Health
  • Led the evaluation of ACTA's MRFF-2020 – Enhancing Clinical Trials Networks Capabilities Grant for ACTA
  • Led the review of existing Life Saving Drugs Program (LSDP) medicines Tranche 1, Tranche 2, and Tranche 3 for the Department of Health
  • Led the expansion of the National Aged Care Mandatory Quality Indicator Program into Home Care for the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care
  • Led the development of a Functional Design Plan and Business Case for the NSW Neonatal Paediatric Emergency Transport Service (NETS) for the Sydney Children's Hospitals Network
  • Led the evaluation of services provided by the Leukaemia Foundation for people living with blood cancer
  • Led the evaluation of the Pathways to Home lapsing program for the Victorian Department of Health.
