Dr Hilal Varinli
Hilal leads HealthConsult's Policy, Strategy & Planning practice, driving our strategic initiatives and projects. With extensive experience in program design, implementation, evaluation, and data strategy in health care and aged care, Hilal has been the Project Director or Manager for over 20 HealthConsult projects. She has a strong track record in complex project management and stakeholder engagement involving diverse communities.

How she got here
- Led the evaluation of the National Dementia Support Program (NDSP) for the Department of Health and Aged Care
- Directed the evaluation of the TrialHub Pilot Program for Alfred Health
- Managed the evaluation of ACTA's MRFF-2020 – Enhancing Clinical Trials Networks Capabilities Grant for ACTA
- Designed and implemented the Residents' Experience Survey and Expansion Trials for the Department of Health and Aged Care
- Expanded the National Aged Care Mandatory Quality Indicator Program into new staff indicators for residential aged care for the Department of Health
- Evaluated the Home Care Workforce Support Program for the Department of Health and Aged Care
- Designed and implemented the Round 2 Consumer experience interviews in residential aged care for the Department of Health and Aged Care
- Evaluated the Pathways to Home Lapsing Program for the Department of Health Victoria
- Conducted a horizon scan for new and emerging clinical trials for the Ministry of Health, NSW Health
- Evaluated the Leading Better Value Care and eMR Connect digital solutions for eHealth NSW
- Evaluated the Asthma Best Practice for Professionals Program for the National Asthma Council
- Previously, Hilal held key roles in eHealth NSW, the Ministry of Health NSW, and engaged in research with CSIRO and Macquarie University.
