Colleen Brooks

Colleen leads HealthConsult's Digital Health practice. Colleen brings extensive expertise from her diverse roles, including serving as a G20 Digital Health policy advisor and Digital Health Advisor to the Deputy Minister of eHealth, Saudi Arabia, along with her tenure as Director of Standards in Singapore.

Colleen’s superpower

With a background in pharmacy, Colleen's comprehensive understanding of aged and healthcare, coupled with her proficiency in data standards, quality, interoperability, privacy and security, has been pivotal in driving initiatives for various projects. Notable achievements include the development of a national mHealth Apps Assessment Framework and Library, conducting a quality and safety review for BreastScreen Australia and a Data Governance consultancy for the Melbourne Genomics Health Alliance.  

How she got here

  • Developed a national mHealth Apps Assessment Framework and Library
  • Examined policy tools to promote interoperability for the Australian Digital Health Agency 
  • Led the delivery of the Melbourne Genomics Data Access and Reuse project.
  • Developed the Linked Data Asset for Australian Health Research Project Data Sharing agreement template for the University of NSW 
  • Conducted Data Governance Consultancy for the Melbourne Genomics Health Alliance 
  • Undertook Health Data Landscape Review and COVID-19 data sharing projects for the Victorian Agency for Health Information and Queensland Health 
  • Optimised Conformance and Assurance for the Australian Digital Health Agency 
  • Reviewed the transmission of moving medical images for the Australian Organ and Tissue Authority 
  • Investigated how different health jurisdictions support the promotion and adoption of digital health standards for the Australian Digital Health Agency 
  • Conducted an evidence review of policy tools to promote digital health system interoperability for the Australian Digital Health Agency 
  • Developed a Data Quality Strategy for the Australian Digital Health Agency 
  • Created a national mobile health applications assessment framework, operating model, and business case for the Australian Digital Health Agency.
