Cathy Hoadley

Cathy is an Associate Director in HealthConsult’s Financial & Economic Analysis practice. Cathy has over two decades experience working in health providing strategy financial advice. Her experience in the health sector encompassing roles in both public and private sector health service providers. Cathy has been a senior member of the HealthConsult team for 10 years, is a Certified Practising Accountant and has played a key role in many of HealthConsult’s national costing projects.

Cathy excels in activity-based costing and financial modelling, leveraging her extensive experience in logistics management, quantitative data collection, stakeholder engagement, and data analysis to deliver actionable insights and recommendations for healthcare projects.  

How she got here

  • Developed a national mHealth Apps Assessment Framework and Library
  • Expanded the National Aged Care Mandatory Quality Indicator Program for the Department of Health and Aged Care
  • Developed the assessment, classification and funding model to underpin the support at home program for the Commonwealth Department
  • Led the Activity Based Costing and Monitoring and Review of five programs funded under the Sixth Community Pharmacy Agreement for the Commonwealth Department of Health
  • Managed the Emergency Care Costing and Classification Project for the Independent Hospital Pricing Authority, overseeing stakeholder engagement, data collection, and outcomes analysis
  • Developed a Standard Table of Costs for Clinical Trials in Australia for the Independent Hospital Pricing Authority through process mapping, stakeholder consultation, and data synthesis
  • Directed the National Mental Health Costing Study for the Independent Hospital Pricing Authority, managing project infrastructure, data collection, cost modelling, and outcomes analysis
  • Previously held senior finance roles at St Vincent's & Mater Health Sydney and Northern Sydney Health.
